Rethinking traditional craftsmanship
Strong colours, clear lines and geometric patterns – 38 artists have lovingly handcrafted 41 diverse quilts, which will be on display for the first time in Meersburg from 29 September. The exhibits are traditionally made, but differ in design from traditional patterns: the result are individual works of art created from fabric, reminiscent of abstract paintings from the modern era. They give an insight into the contemporary quilt art of North America and New Zealand.
